All these glow-worms and fireflies parading around
as mediators and agents of divine radiance.
Put a thousand of them together into a lantern
and barely one room is illuminated.
Now don't take me wrong.
Glow-worms and fireflies, they're all pretty.
My backyard's full of them.
When all of that whatever light is taken
for weaving for yourself a radiant little aura
that you can then flash off
like a peacock dancing on a dung hill,
that's just not right.

Of earth, heavens, and in between,
we recognize that supreme sun.
We contemplate on the radiance of the gods.
May that infuse and inspire us.
There is this undifferentiated white light,
the divine non-dual radiance,
and through the prism of archetypal divinities
it sheds, refracts into this world.
On that we contemplate.
