Our communities dissolving and dispersing,
the collective itself fading in the winds of entropy.
All of this due to the pandemic of a virus
called you and you and you in your important silo.
Can we still pull back the scattered threads of the collective
into a loom that is greater than us all?
Into a collective mind and mindset,
where your joys are joys to me
and your troubles are also troubles unto me.
Where we care about each other.
Can we not snap out of that narrative
of the importance of self-importance,
one above all others?
